Motorsport Simulators know how important the steering wheel and pedals are when it comes to your simulated driving experience. The standard wheel and pedal assembly is called the Logitech GT and they are included with the standard configuration. However, we do provide two choices when it comes to upgrades for a more exciting and realistic feel when using the simulators.

One choice that we recommend is the E6000 steering wheel. Designed with the best materials available this wheel provides a nice comfortable feel that helps you to enjoy your simulator even more. The E6000 Steering wheel is shown below.

Steering Wheels

The E6000 steering wheel is designed with the standard behind-the-wheel shift paddles with lightning-quick gear shifting to help you get into the spirit of simulating driving. This makes it possible for you to pay less attention to managing the gear shifter, which in turn allows attention to be spent on cornering line to help improve your driving skills. After all, that is one of the reasons you are using the simulator in the first place.

The short-throw paddle shifter sets have been well received by virtual and non-virtual racers alike. The quality and reliability of these paddles have set a new standard in both the simulated and the real racing worlds, which is one reason they are so popular with racers everywhere.

E6000 Steering Wheel Upgrade Option

Do you require forced feedback in your simulator? Then the VPP force feedback steering would be a very nice upgrade for you. When you need a wheel that you can trust to handle whatever you throw at it, the VPP force feedback steering is at the top of the list.

Pedals

Are you looking to upgrade your Logitech GT pedals then consider the E6000 Pedal assembly. It is a good choice that is tough enough to handle most any needs. This design also uses springs to provide the driver feelback just like most all pedals sets. However, out of all the spring based pedals sold today, this is the best one out there. For those of you that desire or need a true feel, check out our hydralic pedal assembly. We’re sure you will be pleased with what it has to offer.

The new 6000 has a unique design that other pedals do not have. The all critical pedal geometric relationships are fully adjustable to uniquely suit each user. This is something that all racers can appreciate as it makes using the pedals easier and more comfortable.

These adjustments include the following: pedal angle from vertical; heel rest angle and distance from pedals; pedal height from heel rest; pedal to pedal lateral spacing; and individual pedal resistance rate.

E6000 Pedal Assembly Upgrade Option

Here at Motorsport Simulators, LLC we are committed to engineering and building some of the most realistic race car simulators in the world. One thing that makes them so special is our Patent Pending Hydraulic pedal assembly upgrade that is designed specifically for the Venom Race Car Simulator. Due to this amazing design, you will have the ultimate experience in simulated racing and know what it means to have true realism when it comes to driving a race car! They are so realistic that you may find it hard to remember that you are using a simulator.

The programmable rate and pressure settings of this hydraulic pedal allows for configuration to match your race car experience. What this means for you is that, you do not have to get use to the feel of a simulator. Instead, it’s just like the real thing so you are truly getting a unique and realistic experience each time you use the simulator. The clutch, brake and throttle all have separate configurations to add to their realism and pressures are adjustable from 100 PSI to 2200 PSI.

If you are a serious race car driver, then you know how your pedals will change as you are racing. Extreme brake temps will put more of a demand on the brakes, which in turn causes them to fade when driving in certain conditions. To ensure that you get the complete realistic experience from our simulators we have now added pedal fade. This is an extraordinary design that makes the simulator respond to your runtime and control the pedal in such a way that it feels the exact same way that it would if you were in your race car. Simply put, it’s amazing!

We have incorporated real Bremo calipers with dual master cylinders for the brakes and a single master cylinder for the clutch. You can enjoy smooth actuate control from the throttle because it is controlled by a state of the art precision linear potientmeter. Since comfort is also a very important aspect they are also designed with an adjustable heel rest and leg adjustments are provided by the solid rail. We are certain that you will be thrilled with our hydraulic pedals.

The Touchscreen Color Dash is a very nice option that Venom simulator has to offer. All you have to do is mount this dash in the right hand side of your race car and it is ready to use. This touchscreen color dash provides three main functions that can greatly enhance your simulator experience.

These functions are described below:

Analog Dash with telemetry - You will find that the analog dash with telemetry is designed with all the standard gauges on the screen such as the RPM and the MPH gauges. When using this function you will find it very convenient if you switch between various race cars. It has the ability to automatically switch from one race car to the other when you use the "recalling previous settings" option. It is also configurable to allow you to set alarms and shift points.

Predictive Timer - The Predictive timer is the second mode that shows you real time + or - indicators of your exact moment on the track. This means that you can compare your previous run data realtime to your immediate time so you can see if your line is better or worse. It is a wonderful tool that all drivers can use to experiment with to help you greatly improve your run times.

Basic Data Acquisition The basic data acquisition is the third dash mode that captures session run information. It has the ability to export this information into your external storage via USB. Another great feature it provides is a quick graphical view of your session and laps In the developmental stage is another upgrade that interfaces with the touchscreen color dash system. This new upgrade will be able to provide real car interfacing for any aftermarket data acquisition system such as Motec, Stack Pi Systems and so on. Check back with us a little later in the year for more information if you are interested in this exciting upgrade.

Venom Motion Upgrade

Motion is one of the biggest factors associated with a simulated driving experience. The ordinary style of motion simulators is the technique of the whole cockpit moving and expressing G force while taking into account gravity G.

This type of motion might be very good for a big airplane simulator or a good feeling when you hit something and it causes this shaking sensation, but when it comes to a race car simulator you need more. The ordinary motion simulators are hard to feel as they do not produce a strong enough G-force that can simulate the amount of force produced by driving a car. This is true even if you use the strong expensive systems.

It is impossible to get a true feel of driving when using a simulator that gives an improper feel of G-Force. You need a simulator in which you can get a true feeling of opposite direction G-Force at high speeds and a true feel of how your body reacts during wide degree movement.

Due to the fact that the Gravity of the earth is only 1G, vibrations and shocks can be felt. However, this is limited to how much tilt you can feel in comparison with a wall or a ceiling.

When you are searching for more than the ordinary, then the Venom motion upgrade will help you experience the real motions involved when driving a race car. For example, when you turn the steering wheel to the right the heavier parts of the body and the head tend to go straight ahead. It is the same feeling when the car is staying straight and the body is rolling to the left.

When You Brake

It is very noticeable that when you put on the brake your body and head goes forward, even though the car will eventually stop. It's the same situation as when the car is still and your body tends to pull forward.

Being able to feel the true degree of G-Force when you drive is very important. Therefore, if you are serious about using a race car simulator, then this is one upgrade that you really don't want to pass up. Of course, if you would prefer to add this upgrade at a later date that is always an option. Contact us for specifics on this upgrade when you feel it can help to enhance your simulated driving experience.

Currently in development - Data Acquisition Interface Upgrade.

Here at Motorsport Simulators, we are always searching for ways to enhance your simulator experience. We want to give you the most realistic simulated driving experience possible. That is why we are currently developing a dash enhancement that will provide you with a real car interfacing and signals for any aftermarket data acquisition system such as Motec, Stack Pi Systems and so on. You will however, need to have the touchscreen dash upgrade to use this new data acquisition interface upgrade.

With the new data acquisition interface upgrade you will be able to utilize any system that you already have. You will also have the ability to jump from simulator to race car and back and forth taking your session data from one to the other to analysis in a compared overlay view. This is a very powerful tool that can greatly enhance your overall driving experiences. This is especially true for race teams and team engineers because it will allow teams and drivers to experiment with "what if" scenarios.

This upgrade is expected to be available by September this year, so if you are interested in this upgrade, be sure and check back with us later in the year.

Venom - Shifter Upgrade Options

Here at Motorsport Simulators we know that different people enjoy different types of shifters. This is why we offer several different options when it comes to upgrading your shifter from the standard Logitech GT. We want to be able to give you as many options as possible so you can have more customization from your experience. Your options include the following choices. Hshift + - 8 speed H pattern shifter, Shift + - Sequential shifter, GPL Shifter 2006 and the Advantage1 Gear Box shifter.

As you will see below the GPL Shifter 2006 is capable of handling either the H-pattern or the sequential patterns. All you have to do is change the face plate to make the change. It is for this reason that we highly recommend this shifter upgrade option. However, each one of the shifter upgrade options are shown below so you can get a better idea of what each one of them has to offer. This way you can make a well informed choice when upgrading your Venom shifter.

Hshift+ - 8 speed H pattern shifter
Shift+ - Sequential shifter
GPL Shifter 2006. 2-in-1 adaptor and four extra shifter plates: 4, 5, 6-gear and a tiptronic (or sequential shifting) one for easy adjustments based on your racing needs.
Advantage1 Gear Box - It is made using heavy duty components including industrial bearings, springs and mild steel and stainless steel. The A1 Gear Box is powder coated in black with a stainless steel shaft and an aluminum gear knob wrapped in black leather. Included is a 7 + 1 H pattern and a sequential plate both in stainless steel.

When you order a Venom Simulator you will notice that it does not include paint. Instead it is all bare aluminum and there is a good reason for this. For some racers it is a big plus. They prefer the bare aluminum over a painted chassis because they don't have to worry about scratches, chipped paint and so forth. If you would prefer to have your Venom Simulator painted, then you can upgrade it to include the color of your choice.

If you do decide to order your Venom Simulator with paint, we recommend power coating. This is because power coating is 2 to 3 times more durable than paint. Over time paint will become damaged and this can hurt the looks of your Venom. Choosing power coating will help to eliminate this problem and ensure that your Venom Simulator will look great for many years to come.

When it comes to the color of your Venom, choosing any standard single color is fine. However, if you require more than one color and or graphics, then you will need to contact us for a price quote.

Simulation Computer Extreme Upgrade

Your standard configuration Venom computer has a dual core 3Ghz processor. What this means for you is that you are receiving a serious amount of processing power for your enjoyment. However, some of you may want to push the upper edge of performance and have a computer system that will be compatible for several more years. If you fall into this category, then perhaps you may be interested in this upgrade.

There are several differences between the standard configuration Venom computer and the extreme computer upgrade. The system memory and the disk drives are the same on both but when it comes to the Processor, Video, Operating System and Power Supply you will notice that this upgrade offers several changes.

The radio harness kit is a great addition to your Venom simulator. One thing that makes this upgrade so nice is that it can give you the ability to talk to your crew just like you would be able to if you were actually out driving on the track. Just imagine the difference that this could make for you. The way this upgrade works is fairly simple.

The radio harness kit provides the standard helmet jack, radio holder and push to talk bottom on your steering wheel. The sound is piped into your helmet with this upgrade giving you the ability to hear and to communicate with your crew.

The radio harness kit upgrade is great for the individuals that are working together to improve their driving skills, but it is also ideal for large clubs and business that want to have in-car (sim) communications. It's the perfect way to take your simulated driving experience just one step closer to the real thing.
