PRISM – Professional, Racers, Interactive, Simulation, Model

Motorsport Simulators has begun development of its own physics engine software called “PRISM” to address the demands and expectations of professional racers. Today, Motorsport Simulators utilizes commercial physics software which is very good but has limitations for professional use. What are the goals of PRISM software? Simply provide a rich realistic driving experience that couples the needs of team engineering.

Technology has reached a point where simulators coupled with the right software are instruments not a game. We foresee in the not-too-distant future where drivers will be required to have simulators to be competitive or to maintain their competitive edge. Look at Lewis Hamilton, a Formula1 young talented driver who uses simulators and has shown how they can make a difference. Today’s simulation software provides drivers many advantages such as memory mapping tracks and to find the tracks natural rhythm. Tomorrow’s simulation software such as PRISM will transform simulators into instruments by providing many advance or refined features such as; detailed car & track modeling, superior physics, photo realistic rendering, protected setups to name just a few. It will also contribute to drivers conditioning such as race scenarios exercises, unplanned mechanical events and so on.

While our own racing and engineering experience will be used to establish product direction, Motorsport Simulators will be forming a Customer Council comprising of team engineers, team owners and of course drivers. This customer council will help guide features and functionality of PRISM.
